We are using 2 main locations, therefore there are many risks in these environments individually which may include:
In the House:
Electrical items/Appliances- Because we are using lots of electrical items we need to be careful that they are well away from heat so any heaters that generate heat, and also from any water, so any water bottles or cups of water that may be around. Because both of these are hazards that may lead to an explosion of some sort, which not only will harm all the actors and camera person, but also may destroy the house. So we have to take extra care when using these items as props in our short film.
-Camera Dropping- From the high angle shots, there is a risk that the camera may drop, therefore we must make sure the camera is sturdy on the tripod, because this will ensure that the camera will not drop and be secure when held from a high shot.
-Keeping obejcts away- We must make sure there are no objects obstructing us when filming, such as a table, chairs, sofas and beds, because this may trip us up and injure someone and also may ruin the filming, so to overcome this we must ensure that the space is free and clear.
On the main steeets/Park:
-The roads: Be careful of where the camera person is filming, make sure they are a safe distance from the main roads in case of any moving vehicles.
-The trees: Make sure the camera person avoids any trees that might be in the way, because they may bump into a tree. Which may cause disruption during the filming and also may hurt the camera person
-Cyclists: Cyclists may be on the paths/roads, so we must keep an eye out for them, so we are not in there way and can avoid filming while they are there, because not only is this a risk for the camera person, who may get hit. It will also disrupt the continuity effect of the filming.
Benefits:
This will benefit us because we will be able to look at possible hazards and risks before filming starts and we will be able to make it a safer filming environment. Also if there are any risks or hazards that do occur we wil be able to deal with them effectively because we have looked at them before filming so we would be able to be prepared to deal with them and possibly avoid them.
