Suitability of recorded material

Close ups were essential shots in our film because our topic explores emotional issues therefore it was important to display emotion consitently throughout the film in order to allow the audience to empathise with the characters as the purpose of a short film is to get a hard hitting message that the audience are unlikely to forget.

Before the actual useable footage was filmed we first had to get test shots which allowed us to observe the lighting, prop postioning and the distance which the camera had to be from the focus subjects in order to capture good clear shots.

The camera was also placed at different angles of the location in order to find the most effective shots which will show the character's relationship with the props

To give the film a variety we re organised the order of the different footage in order to keep the film interesting by creating tension.

Too many close ups so some were reduced or moved to differnt parts of the film.
